Usnea Herbal Tincture Extract

USNEA TINCTURE

Usnea is a unique species of herb and it isn't a plant at all, but actually it is a lichen, which is a combination of algae and fungi functioning as a single organism because it is created through a symbiotic relationship between lichens and algae. Usnea grows on old trees in cool, damp forests, and can be found in northern North America and are also found in Europe. Other names for usnea include lichen moss and old man's beard.

Considered a bitter, cool medicine, usnea has antibiotic, antifungal, antispasmodic, antipyretic, and analgesic properties. Usnea Tincture can be used to treat tuberculosis and bronchitis, for treating inflammations of the mucous membranes in the mouth and larynx, for the treatment of lung infections, urinary tract infections, Candida albicans, and strep throat and applied locally to help heal infected wounds.

Uses of Usnea Tincture:

• Abscesses
• Colds
• Cough
• Cystitis
• Fungal infections (such as athletes foot or ring-worm)
• Gastrointestinal (stomach and intestine) irritations
• Influenza
• Sore throats (including strep throat )
• Respiratory infections (sinusitis, bronchitis, pneumonia , etc.)

• Vaginal infections
• Oral infections
• Promotes healthy teeth and gums

Suggested Dosage:

The tincture should be diluted in water before ingesting or using externally. Internal: Two to five times per day take 30 to 40 drops in a little water. External: Apply topically as needed.
