Slow infused soothing salve. Perfect for use after a hard day of work or play as an intensive hand salve, foot cream, first aid ointment on scrapes, scars, bites, mild burns, sunburns. Also great to help with pain.

Comfrey root and leaves (Symphytum officinale) are used to relieve pain from blunt injuries, promote healing of broken bones, sprains and bruises, reduce swelling and edema, and encourage the rapid and healthy regrowth of skin and tissue cells. 

Comfrey relieves pain and inflammation caused by injuries and degeneration, especially the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Comfrey salve can be used in arthritic pain relieving massages. 

Comfrey is a marvelous herb and is one of the best-known healing herbs of all times. Its very name, symphytum, means to heal. Comfrey has been used for centuries for its bone mending qualities.

Comfrey salves, ointments and teas are best known for the topical treatment of burns, skin ulcerations, abrasions, lacerations, flea and insect bites, and just about any skin irritation. Likewise a poultice, salve or infusion of the leaves can be applied to bruises, fractures, sprains, and other closed tissue injuries.
