Every summer season, the debate rages on about the considerable dangers of topical flea and tick products. If you would like to avoid these toxins but still want to give your pet some protection, try this safe and effective herbal flea and tick powder.

This natural and botanical flea and tick treatment is the perfect way to keep your hairy friends tick and flea free and their skin and fur healthy. No harmful chemicals, no essential oils, and no water needed! Sprinkle a small amount of powder on your pet (or into your hands)  and brush your pet's coat backward with your hand or a comb while sprinkling the powder onto the base of the hairs. Apply sparingly, paying special attention to the neck, back, and belly.  If you are using this mixture for ticks, be sure to cover the neck area. Rub it in briskly. For a medium sized dog, you should only need to use about a teaspoon of the powder. Apply the dust to your dog every month or as often as needed. Put your pet outside for awhile afterward, so his pests escape in your yard, not your carpet.

It is your true natural alternative which provides many external and healthy benefits for all dogs and cats. I do not use ANY Essential Oils or Artificial ingredients in this formula. I create a natural, herbal dry powder formula using many organic ingredients.

Bonus Feature:
Keep your pet fresh or repel free by refreshing a room or pet bed. Sprinkle powder on areas when needed and rub lightly over bedding until dissolved or vacuum up from carpet.

This powder will also work to repel flies and mosquitoes!

The ingredients and their purpose:

DIATOMACEOUS EARTH
Diatomaceous earth is a remarkable, all-natural product made from tiny fossilized water plants. Diatomaceous Earth is a naturally occurring siliceous sedimentary mineral compound from microscopic skeletal remains of unicellular algae-like plants called diatoms. These plants have been part of the earth’s ecology since prehistoric times. It is believed that 30 million years ago the diatoms built up into deep, chalky deposits of diatomite. The diatoms are mined and ground up to render a powder that looks and feels like talcum powder to us. It is a mineral based pesticide.
To insects Diatomaceous earth is a lethal dust with microscopic razor sharp edges. These sharp edges cut through the insect’s protective covering drying it out and killing them when they are dusted with Diatomaceous earth. If they ingest the Diatomaceous earth it will shred their insides.
The Diatomaceous earth used in this formula is not the same thing as the Diatomaceous earth used in swimming pool filters. Pool grade Diatomaceous earth is treated with heat, causing the formerly amorphous silicon dioxide to assume crystalline form. Pool grade Diatomaceous earth should never be used for pest control.

NEEM
For centuries the Neem tree has been known as the wonder tree of India. Because of its wide variety of applications it is commonly called the “Friend and Protector of the Indian Villager. Modern research studies have discovered that it contains both alkaloids and liminoids, each with an array of medicinal properties. For instance, oneliminoid (azadirachitin) has been found to be 95% effective when used as a pesticide and insecticide. NEEM is also useful for wound healing.

YARROW
Yarrow acts as a repellant and also helps to soothe the skin.

ROSEMARY
Rosemary is very effective at repelling fleas.
